When prestigious members-only casino, Les Ambassadeurs Club, wanted to conduct multilingual due diligence around the clock, its regulatory compliance team choose GAI Translate™ to assist them.
“Our club is open day and night, welcoming guests from around the world to enjoy the facilities and fine dining experience.
As a regulated entity serving an international clientele, we frequently receive documents that require translation”, says Sam Voak, MLRO at Les Ambassadeurs. “We needed a solution that could give us accurate and secure translations 24 hours a day, seven days a week. GAI Translate was the logical choice.”
Increasing the speed of due diligence
The regulatory compliance team initially trialled GAI Translate to assess whether the speed and quality of translations met their rigorous internal requirements for customer validation. They did. So, the team subscribed to the enterprise version to enable them to instantly translate due diligence documents in-house on a more regular basis.
“The online platform is easy to use. Little to no training is needed. This means that anyone on our team can perform due diligence checks whenever they’re needed. Accuracy for the languages we encounter most often, such as Arabic, Italian, Spanish, and Turkish, is also very good”, says Sam.
For any due diligence checks that require additional assurance, the team simply send their translations for expert linguistic review by using the Expert-in-the-Loop feature within the platform.
Improving translation efficiency
Another aspect of the compliance team’s function is to localise regulatory reports containing complex technical terms. To make this process more efficient, previous verified translations are added to the unique dataset for Les Ambassadeurs Club to inform future GAI translations.
“Our regulatory reports must be 100% accurate. By learning our terms, GAI Translate does the heavy lifting for us. Only minor fine-tuning may be needed afterward. This saves us time, and the expense of human linguists” says Sam. “Overall, it’s a great outcome for us.”
